- Begin seated upright on the floor with your lower back leaning directly onto the foam roller - Position your legs in a location that will help support and keep your upper body balanced - Elevate your hips and lean to the involved side of your low back that you are trying to foam roll - Roll forwards and backwards from the bottom of your lower back to the top of your hips - To feel a greater stretch, shift your weight to apply more force over the area that you are foam rolling
