Knee Flexion: AAROM Seated
- Begin seated upright in a chair or on the end of a table - Place the opposing leg in front the leg performing the exercise - Attempt to flex the involved knee as far as possible by contracting the muscles of your posterior thigh (Hamstrings) - Use the opposite (forward) leg to aid in knee flexion by providing an assistive push or over pressure to achieve full knee flexion - When you’ve reached the desired end range of motion, slowly lower your knee back into the extended position while using the opposite leg to assist as needed - Maintain good posture throughout this exercise
