- Begin in a side lying position on the floor - Position the uninvolved (top) foot in front of the involved (bottom) leg - Using your arms for support, elevate your hips - Roll forwards and backwards (up/down) from the outer joint line of your knee to the outside of your lower hip - To feel a greater stretch, shift your weight to apply more force over the area that you are foam rolling
