- Begin seated upright on the floor your calf/lower leg directly on the foam roller - Position the uninvolved leg on top of the involved (bottom) leg - Using your arms for support, elevate your hips - Roll forwards and backwards from the joint line of your knee to the top of your ankle - To feel a greater stretch, shift your weight to apply more force over the area that you are foam rolling
